Abstract

In this paper, we present a multi-agent Traffic Signal Timing system (TST) where intersection controller agents collaborate with one another across congested areas of the traffic network. The multihop agent-based traffic system is based on the TST of the City of Richardson, Texas, and is intended to be deployed with minimal changes to the infrastructure.
